It is easy to see when somebody has been working at their register for a long time. They type out the transactions lightning fast and don't even need to look at the keyboard. However, not all Cashiers are that experienced or quick. In many of the parks we service, speed at the cash register is important when you have a line 20 cars long and people are getting impatient. Normal transactions naturally go fairly quickly, but when your park has special passes with bar code numbers that need to be typed in, it's time to think about an upgrade.
We supply bar code scanners that can input those pass numbers for you. When you get to the prompt that asks for the pass number, it is a lot easier to scan a bar code than it is to manually type in six or more numbers and letters. This also provides an extra layer of control, because the scanner will never get the number wrong, whereas a Cashier under pressure may accidentally type in a number incorrectly.
