In a world that is becoming increasingly more aware of harmful chemicals, it has been found that certain Phenol's used in some thermal receipt paper can be harmful in large amounts. These are chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin and mimic certain chemicals naturally found in our bodies. As with all things, people tend to overreact about it and believe that they will develop cancer by touching even one thermal receipt. That is not the case, so we can all breathe a little easier. However, for those working with receipt paper every day, it may be wise to consider our options.
The standard paper that we sell to be used in our printers is BPA free. This is the main Phenol that has people concerned so we are good to go there. It does, however, contain another Phenol called BPS. It is only a slight variation in the BPA chemical compound, but it is found in much lower concentrations on our paper and is considered safe to use.

| For those who prefer to have their receipt paper 100% phenol free, we do offer another solution. We carry a receipt paper that actually uses Vitamin C as the thermal reactor, giving the paper a slight orange color. It is a bit more expensive and the length of paper on each roll is less, but if you want to be extra safe, it is a viable option.
